Yikes
We don't even like his sister. We don't care who she's friends with. We just dont want to be around her and we reserve that right.
Conversely maybe your in-laws don't even like your husband...or you! They reserve the right to invite whoever the hell they want to Thanksgiving and their grandson reserves the right to have an amicable relationship with whoever the hell he pleases.
Their grandson is my son so no he doesn't have the right to have a relationship with whoever hr chooses. Hes 8.
Sorry meant to say if some kid wants to call your MIL "Nana" and she's fine with it then that's her prerogative.
No one told them they couldn't. They can all sit at the dinner table if they choose but it doesn't mean we have to attend or oartake in the shitshow.

Anonymous wrote:It is really weird that the in-laws chose your SIL's friend over their son. This is just so odd, I can't wrap my head around it.

Anonymous wrote:Honestly OP it seems to me your DH cheated on you with this woman and her son is your husbands. .
Anonymous wrote:What is your relationship like with your SIL? Has this situation recently escalated or gave they been besties for all these years? Seems very strange/psychological issues to hang around for this many years. I think your DH did the best thing. You can't let this woman worm her way into your family. She is doing it to the extended family which is awful but your number one duty is to your marriage and children.
