Ha! Yeah, we're not talking about "society". We're talking about Kim and Kanye....they are known for their drama and attention seeking behavior.

This is the cynicism I was talking about. I'm aware of their attention seeking antics but I highly doubt Kim would lie about being robbed at gunpoint especially after the Lochte fiasco. Kim and Kanye love Paris so she wouldn't risk never being able to go back because they've made up a false story and are avoiding prosecution. I actually do believe that some professional criminals were staking out her home and came up with a plan to rob her. Thankfully her children weren't present and no one was hurt.

I'm cynical because it just seems unlikely that Kim would have been all alone rattling around that big ole mansion with millions of dollars of jewelry laying around...

But, again, the truth can be crazier than fiction. So just because this seems so ridiculous does not mean that it did not happen. And, of course, it's good that she is unharmed.

She was staying at some famous Chichi for the rich and famous so naturally she had comfort in the security. She's traveled all over the world and nothing has happened like this so maybe she left her guard down. Anyway a rich woman being robbed doesn't give me reason to pause, rich people tend to be a target.

I guess she gave her own bodyguard the day off?

He was with Kourtney and Kendall at a nightclub.

How convenient.

Their whole life and persona is built around being fake. It is not so weird in this particular instance to question whether there is something more to this story.

There's fake and then there's illegal. Kim is a smart girl and her father was a lawyer, I can't imagine her making up a false story and risking prosecution. She's vain but not crazy and out of control.

But, but...of course having expensive jewelry is the reason she's the victim. And of course the fact that she lives a very public life and everyone knows her every move and where to find her at any moment is the reason.

Not saying she deserves it, but if she was just a regular person visiting Paris with a cheap ass necklace from Macy's, she probably wouldn't have this issue, right?

No one should be a victim of violence.

How do we know it isn't insurance fraud? Travelling with jewelry worth $10,000,000 without a 24/7 bodyguard then you keep jewelry in hotel safe!

Lol. Exactly.

- and constantly posting your exact location over social media - after also bragging about all your outlandish jewelry (including its dollar value).

Who here is honestly shocked this happened?

She and her family are repugnant. Sorry that some of us are having trouble gathering up a ton of sympathy. But yes, obviously violence is bad even against disgusting humans.

I am just surprised she did not live broadcast it on snapchat.

Do I think Kim Kardashian deserved this? No. It's awful and I have empathy for her. Sounds scary as hell.

Do I think Kim Kardashian has made a deal with the devil to get all that money and this is a knowable possible cost? Yes.

Any sane person would rethink her whole circus of a life, but most likely she will make this a storyline on the show and carry on.

Nah I have to disagree. I am completely disgusted by them both, but my only real feelings about this are relief that she and the family weren't harmed. That must have been terrifying. I don't even care if it turns out to be a publicity stunt.

Uhhh, if it turns out to be a publicity stunt that would mean that they were lying and that Kim was never in any danger to begin with....

Like I said, I don't care. There is no part of me that feels like attacking these people right now no matter how repulsive I find them generally. If it is a publicity stunt, I'll be glad there was no danger. Full stop.
