There may not be a plan in place, because the parents want to give the child incentive to get on the bus. That doesn't mean they wouldn't do something if the child missed the bus. Parents can come home, neighbors can be called, uber, taxis, even - gasp - bikes can be ridden.

Can't your friend arrange a backup plan for a ride in case she misses the bus? Like asking a neighbor?

My DD's school starts at 7:30, and she is out of the house before 7 when I leave, so not an issue for us. I think she would be perfectly fine to get herself up and ready and catch the bus by herself though, I am not really involved in her morning routine at this point.

Yes. I never understood why people who have such little interest spending time with their children bother having them.
Sad to have such judge-y mommies. Make sure you pass the judgement on to your kids. And that you teach your daughters to marry for wealth so they don't have be sad mommies. Bet you have a wasted expensive degree and credentials to your name, too?
I don't consider being able to actually actively parent my child as a waste. Honestly it's what I've always wanted most in life and I'm damn grateful I can do it.
Yes, but you make yourself feel better by putting other mothers down. Insulting them. 'such little interest', 'the whole reason for having kids...' . Not sure which was your comment but rude and judgmental it was. Inferiority complex much?

So much so, that you feel the need to put down others for not doing so. Some parents can't be home in the morning because of work. It is very common, and it doesn't make them bad parents.
