Plus he'll be over 70 when he is done paying for college. That stinks. Best age to have kids is around 28-35. Get your career going before hand, be young enough to deal with it and when you hit 55-60 become an empty nester and get on with the next phase of your life.
So, 50 is too old to have kids and too young to be a grandparent.
Shut up. That's your timeline, hooray that it worked out perfectly for you.
50 is too old for women to have babies. Tinkering with nature doesn't make it better.
In your opinion. Please add that line. It is not my business when people decide to start or finish their families so I don't judge anyone who got their baby at 50. If they have the resources and can provide for their kid and a guardian/estate plan in place, more power to them. I do judge the people here who judge those folks, though. This is very much a MYOFB situation.

It was taxing -- even in my early 50's. That's what I can't figure out -- You guys that are planning on having college student kids when you are mid-60's or 70's, how are you planning on carrying all of the crap up and down the stairs?
Or are you all so wealthy that you have a butler or something to help with all that?
No, my parents were in their 60s when I went to college--the other younger and fitter college students help you out!
After the first year, I did it myself, with my friends. Not a big deal.

Just girls?
I am speaking about men doing it. I don't find that 50 year old women check out 18-21 year old men

If you had kids between 32 & 36, wasn't your youngest just entering high school when you were 50?
