Snowplow parenting is more like it. Our deans have to remind us not to answer their calls complaining about grades.
Although I agree that we're a self sufficient generation, many of us are raising helpless kids who are far less confident and competent than we were.
I take it as a wake-up call for me as a parent.

Gen Xers are mostly in their 40s at this point, with smaller 30s & 50s contingents on the youngest & oldest ends.
