Joran did it and he’s a piece of sh—— for lots of reasons. But not telling the family the truth is despicable.

It is, actually. That is the definition of victim blaming.
What’s wrong with victim blaming? Are you telling your teenage daughters that it’s perfectly fine to go get drunk at the age of 18 and leave a bar with a strange guy? People who die while drunk driving, people who don’t wear helmets while riding a bike, people who go on hikes in the desert without enough water - it’s a tragedy when some of them die, but acknowledging that they were being reckless is how we learn not to make the same mistakes ourselves.

Anonymous wrote:The thing is, there is no evidence she was wasted/drunk willingly or not. She could have just wanted to have a fling while celebrating her graduation and/or maybe he drugged her.

The club she went to was known for drugging women’s drinks. Bartenders involved
That's a scary thought.

Her poor parents may never get the closure they so desperately deserve. ;(
I think any doubt of his guilt was removed when he killed Flores. His father and Aruban authorities are partially responsible for her death, IMO. If they didn't try to protect van der Sloot, that woman would still be alive.
Wonder why Flores would have been with a suspected murderer.

So she deserved to die because she had some fun on a tropical island?
PP didn't say Natalie deserved to die. Nobody is blaming the victim for her awful demise. However, someone didn't care if she deserved it or not. He took advantage of her fun-on-a-tropical-island condition. He didn't get the message about how rude and mean it is to do that. Maybe he got the message and just ignored it.
So if you decide to have fun by getting drunk, please remember the gamble you are taking. Not all people are nice and mannerly; some may not play fair.

Alcohol causes billions of dollars in injuries, lost wages, destroyed families and lives, property damage, abuse and so much more. But hey, it's all good. They're just having some fun. Tell that to the people who are dead or maimed.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I think she got drink, raped, killed and dumped on the ocean.
