What is wrong with you, pp? A man died. He was somebody's son. And you are "glad" he was killed? SMH.

Yes, I have no sympathy. He participated in the torture of an innocent animal. Good riddance.

nice.
these bulls have the best lives of any bulls in the world. a domesticated animal, cattle, don't forget.
#1, they are not castrated to become steers like 99.9% of male cattle.
#2, they rarely if ever see humans. they eat the best grass. They roam essentially free.
#3, then their last 20 minutes is a fight where they die, yes.
Compare that live to that of the rest of cattle in the world and which one sounds better?

So it's ok to eat THOSE tortured animals, as long as they're on your plate, but not the bull fight? I am omnivorous, but eat very little meat and only if it comes from Whole Foods or a farmers market. If I could find a way to keep my iron up, I think I'd go vegetarian rather than risk eating an animal that lived a miserable life and died a terrible death.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I read on here everyday about embracing culture and here it is, you don't like a different culture and you have to bash it because you don't like it.
hmmm interesting
Some injustices go beyond "culture" - slavery, rape, domestic abuse, etc. Even animal cruelty.
+100 I'll also add that I don't embrace child brides, genital mutilation, blood fiestas (another "great" Spanish tradition) and more.
Exactly! Embracing another culture doesn't mean you have to adopt/support the violent aspects of it.
+1
Now pass the paella!
I buy my beef from a local farmer who grass feeds and humanely kills the cow (it's called cow pooling). I also buy sustainable seafood and free range poultry/eggs. It's not perfect I'm sure, but at least I try to eat animals that live a good life and are raised in a way that doesn't harm the environment.
Also, eating an animal provides nourishment, not entertainment from torture.
You may want to live in a fantasy, but all animals raised for food suffer. Not only that, which is fairly significant, but that meat on your plate are babies; cows are slaughtered at 1.5, pigs @ 6 months and chicken @ 3 months. You've bought into the organic meat movement, another lie by the industry. Until we stop giving farm aid, cruelty will prevail.
