If you can forget to turn off your goddamn car, you're definitely the type of parent who can also forget their child in the car on a hot summer day. JFC.

She didn't forget because of the keyless entry (although that's her excuse). She forgot to shut off the car because she was all freaked out her kids having a meltdown over a missed bedtime. It's not just about reminding yourself to turn off the car, it's about the hyper anxiety over something stupid; little kids staying up past their bedtime.
She could have killed her whole family because she didn't want her kid crying in the car. This is bigger than a keyless remote people. Jeez!

Between radios, kids seatbelts, car doors, etc there are so many buttons to press. Some get forgotten.
I can absolutely see how the OP could do this.
You really don't know until you drive one of these cars.
And why oh why is there NOT a feature that automatically turns off the engine after awhile, with no keys present? A major flaw in the production.
Bc that kind of feature could malfunction and turn the car off in the middle of a highway.
Engineers can't design a car to shut off after a hour in "Park" and never automatically shutoff when car is in any other gear??

It was a hybrid...wouldn't have emitted enough fumes.
