No, she scheduled her wedding to be three weeks after my due date. I had no idea when the child would be born. As it was I was 5 weeks post partum as "luckily" he arrived early. I was not healed from the birth as it was rough with a 2+ tear one way and a 3+ tear the other. I had stitched up and down the proverbial wazoo. I had to fly with my newborn alone to get there and had to leave him in a hotel for the day with a babysitter until the end of the reception.

Future posts from OP will be about how her darling neice or nephew is copying her darling child by learning to crawl and walk.

My sister's kids were born within a few month of mine. It's awesome. Nothing like cousins close in age.

Congratulations on your baby and your baby's future cousin!

p.s. postpartum hormones are a beast

OP, don't be like that. It was so important for one of my sisters to get married, etc. before me. It was really obvious and made her seem ridiculous. Turns out, she is. Can you maybe focus on yourself more? I understand competition, but you are being petty. Grow up, before you don't have a sister anymore. You need to look at the big picture and decide what is important here.

You sound like my SIL o.p. Watch out, you are going to have a lifetime of disapointment if you are this competitive about everything. What are you going to do when her DD gets married before yours, or gets into a better preschool than yours? Be thankful you have a sister. I have two brothers who married unpleasant, competitive women. It is frosty when we get together.

This will be tough when your family runs out of congratulations. You know, it's best to hold onto those and spread them out. I like to hoard mine. Only 3 per family unit per year.

Also did your sister just get her BFP? I think you're being a little premature worrying about this. You should be focusing on hoping she has a healthy pregnancy instead! And FWIW my son and nephew are about the same age difference and it is the BEST! They are great friends and we were able to pass off every bit of baby stuff as we finished with it to my sister so we didn't have to worry about storage and she didn't have to buy anything.
