Very caring, and he explains things clearly and well. We used donor eggs, retrieved 19, 17 were useable, created 15 embryos, 10 made it to blastocyst stage and were frozen. We transferred 2; nothing. Then 2 again; nothing. Then 2 again, and I became pregnant with twins at 53. Delivered at 54. We're all fine.

Wow! Congratulations!

Shady Grove is the only fertility center?? Are you kidding me? They are great if you want to be treated like you are in a factory and just a number. I too used Dr. Sacks and had a successful pregnancy.
Although there were a few miscommunications with he billing department, I absolutely recommend Dr. Sacks.

I think Lorna did leave and that's too bad. She was the best nurse there, but I also like Kim.

I haven't seen Lorna that last few times I was there -- I'd be sad if she left. She's funny. I like her and Kim.

Dr. Sacks is very caring and attentive. He is a little quirky, a bit eccentric, but that is okay. Most people really love Dr. Sacks, but have troubles with the billing department--- you have to really stay on top of them and check every little thing! The nurses are typically very nice, especially Lorna, but a woman in the waiting room this week told me Lorna may be leaving! I have seen some disorganization among the nurses in the past, and they tend to be fairly young and new to the field. That's not a bad thing, necessarily, but I have found it helps to really stay in close communication and keep track of your meds, schedules, and stats yourself.

All eight fertilized, two put back, and one implanted. Result = one very happy and healthy DD!

Oh, and only one of the remaining 6 embryos made it to the freezing stage.

Not quite sure, but I started with Lupron, then was on Gonal F and Menapur. I don't know my dose, but I don't think it was very high. I had 8 eggs at retrieval.
