I was wondering the same thing! -op[/quot
Yes! During snowzilla I had overripe bananas and all the ingredients for chocolate chip banana bread EXCEPT for enough flour. Got a cup of flour from next door neighbor, and brought them a loaf when done.

Is this a real person expressing a real sentiment, or is it a joke???
That wasn't me, but I would never eat a stranger's cooked food. Not without having seen how clean their kitchen is - I once went to someone's house to discover she allowed her cats to jump on and walk on kitchen counters. I've been in the restroom at work and seen people come out of stalls after flushing and just walk out without washing their hands.
I'm an introvert. When I come home I'm relieved to not have to talk to people anymore. The last thing I want is to get stuck making small talk with someone just because we live near each other.
I'm guessing talking to you is a mistake most people only make once.

OP here - we never have. Because we've never known them!

+1. You people are insufferable. Yes. I love my neighbors and we have dinners, BBQs and we shovel snow together.
+2 Glad my neighborhood in N Arl is friendly. Everyone introduces themselves when new people move in. We even have an annual block party. I love it!

It's new construction. How can you "not be prepared"?
