Perhaps,the opportunity did not present itself, they wanted to make sure it was the right person, they were worried about parents, stressed about STDs, did not feel like it.

I'm not one of them who waited, but I do admire them very much, especially the ones who waited until marriage or at least until the one they ended up marrying.
