I just had to throw out a gallon I purchased 5 days ago that supposedly expires in a week but is already rancid.

We keep the bread in the freezer and take slices out as needed. They thaw quickly.
I shop almost exclusively at trader joes and only have a problem with a product once a year at most. Same odds as shopping at other stores. Am I just lucky?
