Academia is a very prestigious and respected profession.


Yes but make sure you snag after he already has the tenure-track job. Otherwise it's just years of postdocs and low pay with few prospects.

- intelligent and full of humor
- hard working

Things that make men a catch that he doesn't bring with:
- good respectable family
- good salary
- prestige or social standing

*Broad shoulders (I care about this more than height, personally - tall, slender men are not my cup of tea).

*Takes good care of himself physically
*Makes fun and periodic indulgences to enjoy together a priority
*High social status and prestige in community

I did pretty well. Got all of my must haves and a chunk of my nice-to-haves (but not all).

Seriously there is nothing wrong with average size assuming you know how to use it. If you are average size with below average or average skills that's a problem.
