This is not a budget if it is only for her own needs...
Um, yes it is, fool. Family budgets typically include basic self-maintenance, which for a woman can be high. Toiletries, nails, hair, make up, clothes. $500 a month is NOT lavish. Whatsoever.

Personally, i would not marry someone that would spend $20k a month in a store, but YMMV.[/quote
Can you read? She spent this in 1 year. Nordstrom credit cards can be used everywhere.
Nordstrom has a store card and a brand visa. Not all Nordstrom cards can be used everywhere.
Not true. I have both the visa and debt. They don't have a store only card anymore.

Anonymous wrote:Soooooo much wrong with this post. You've never asked her to pay living expenses? Um, you are married. She is raising your kid, right? You give her an allowance of $500/mo? Um, she's not your child!
Yes, it's weird her dad is giving her 20k/yr for shopping, but your relationship dynamics sound way, way, way more bizarre. She is probably working harder at home duirng the day with your kid than you are at work (and this is coming from someone who works outside of the home herself so no bias here) -- it's not your place to dole out money. You a family. You are partners. Wake up. This is 2015.

This doesn't necessarily mean anything. Not all nannies are from poor backgrounds. Some people do jobs because they like working !
- nanny who makes 60k/ year
Princess Disna was a Preschool teacher, just saying.
Huge difference between a preschool teacher and a nanny.
I don't think there's a huge difference. I'm op and my wife did both. She worked as a nanny while she was in undergrad/ grad school and then taught at a Montessori preschool for a few years after. Preschool teaching is much easier because the day is shorter. I think she actually made more $ being a nanny. She also saved a lot because she lived with the family until we got married.
