I'd be super annoyed if money and class time were spent on that field trip, and I'm one that usually loves field trips.
If you don't want your child to go, keep your child home.
Is it my favorite idea of a field trip? No. Am I going to micromanage the World Studies curriculum based on a field trip to Medieval Times? Also no. There are many, many, many more important things to worry about, in my opinion.
