I know friends, who are from different cultures, want to dress "sexy" for their husbands all the time. Sort of like the anti-burka.
because they're small so they want to look taller?
because they're small so heels don't hurt as bad bigger women?
because they're asian they don't dress like white women?
get it now?
what's with large white women who wear yoga pants (used to be tennis skirts) who were not playing tennis nor doing yoga? i don't get it, must be cultural. YES of course it's cultural, dimwit.
btw can you count in one hand how many asian women you'd ever seen before moving here?
white woman here. my comfort is worth more than what anyone else says.I would never sacrifice my own personal comfort for something as silly as wearing heels all the time . Ridiculous. You sound like the dimwit.

It's doable but can be dangerous. If you have kids like mine who decide that they want to be "uppy now! uppy now!" and dash into your arms when you least expect it, you realize how easy it is to twist an ankle. I hoped this post could help some women learn how unsteady you really can be when trying to run after your kid .
Do you think that women who wear high heels don't know what it's like to wear high heels?
+ 1. I find it silly that OP "feels bad" for them. OP- it seems like you are not comfortable in heels or are unsteady. Is that accurate?
I wear heels everywhere except the gym and the beach. I'm short and I hate not being in heels, it's just part of me feeling put together. I don't wear heels that hurt my feet and I've never fallen. Not even when holding an infant or running after toddler. Oddly enough, my feet actually hurt if I wear sneakers or flip flops too long.

You sound very bright! Report back in your 50s. Lets see what you think about heels then.
Really? Insulting my intelligence because of my choice in shoes? You must not have read the part of my post that says I don't wear uncomfortable shoes. If you get quality shoes that fit well, you can avoid a lot of issues.
BTW...my grandmother is 90 and still wears heels a few times a week. She seems to be doing just fine.
Enjoy your collection of Danskos.
wearing heels ALL the time does say something about your intelligence. reads bimbo to me.
It's also funny because heels are pretty much out now. Flats have been having their moment for years now, and now pairing sneakers with your outfit is considered to be the height of fashion. For a while it was those Isabel Marant sneakers witha lift in them, now it's just regular (high end, obvi) sneakers.
So I have to laugh when I see women tottering around in heels. It just seems so.... 1970s Vanna White.
It makes me wonder, do they know it’s not good for their feet, spine and posture?? Some may, some may not. Some will probably go with the “no pain no gain” theory, but I choose comfort above all else!

Ironic post.
1) Society is NOT fed up. Are you kidding me? Heels are still fetishized everywhere.
2) Flip-flops are really bad for your feet. Worse than heels, probably.

Anonymous wrote:Plus one op! I have lawyers who wear these in my conservative trade association. Peep toe platform strappy shoes I saw in 1998 at a dc strip club. Now they are main stream.
I heard prostitutes were the first to shave their legs too...

Anonymous wrote:Stripper heels or not I think women are crazy for wearing heels period. They are destroying their feet and backs and the more heel the worse it is. Is it worth that for fashion? Height? Or even so your butt wiggle is more pronounced and men like that? I don't think so!
I am a man and I approved this message.
agreed. And most women walk like baby giraffes with broken ankles in them.Anonymous wrote:It used to be only strippers or hookers would wear them, no way would a woman outside of those professions be caught in shoes like that for fear of looking slutty. Now I even see high school aged girls wearing them. It's kind of gross.

Anonymous wrote:I thought you would say they were Latin American. Those Columbian women love to rock the heels!
