Nor should OP be concerned; I believe too many of the worriers in this thread have not actually visited Israel. I have. And I would not hesitate for a moment to raise my kids there given the opportunity to do so.
OP: somebody above mentioned cost. That is a legitimate concern because Tel Aviv is expensive. Another person mentioned driving: it's, well, a little crazy! Imagine Rome at rush hour. That is one thing I found a little shocking over there.
But not enough to dissuade me from moving for a few years.
