I think this is what people who got all up in arms about in the thread telling women to get serious in their 20s think too. Reality is the market of good candidates starts to shrink dramatically post 30 (at least for women)
Woman here. Met DH at 24, he was 28, started dating at 26/30 but didn't date anyone in the interim. Married at 28/32; pregnant now with first at 30/34

Agreed but i would guess these responses are not really reflective about this area because in the thread OP is talking about people tell a 27 year old woman to settle for a divorced guy because in 2 years everyone else will be taken, which is especially in this area far from the truth.
Anyway, I was 33 when i met my wife she was 32.
Average age of marriage in DC is 29. I believe it is higher for those who are white-collar professionals with advanced degrees. I am a big law attorney and when I got married at 28, that was younger than virtually everyone I knew.
