I don't understand why mothers do this kind of setup. Don't people understand how different things are in the man's own home, when his wife is far away? Complete privacy with the nanny/au pair while kid is napping.

A dad here. Smh. So many of my fellow males are such losers. We've had a a few beautiful, intelligent, funny nannies. I may have looked at their butts some but beyond that I never said or did anything inappropriate. What would be the point?!?

Honestly? I would hire the best person for the job. I wouldn't want to settle for less (this is your children you are talking about) because she is beautiful. But I completely trust my husband. I don't give in to the argument of why bring temptation into the house. Temptation is everywhere. If he is going to cheat, he is going to cheat. Bottom line, I am more concerned about picking the better candidate...smarter, sweeter etc. If you aren't secure in your marriage, why did you marry your husband? Just my two cents....

PP here. I should add that I am the moneybags in the relationship and make more than DH, so if he strays, his quality of life will take a significant nosedive. Both he and the nanny will be fighting over whose turn it is to pick up the check at McDonald's.

IDK - If I were interviewing for a nanny position (or any position), I don't think I'd wear clothes that accentuate my figure. Professional, yes, tight clothes, no.

I would and I have. I trust DH, but if DH is the type to stray, then I want to know ASAP so that I don't waste a second more with him. Plus, my priority is finding the best care for my son.
