I am suggesting that the President has acted in such a lawless manner, that people aren't thinking rationally. Do I think he will 'invade Texas'? No. Do I believe he wants to federalize the police and is using race division to create chaos in our cities as an excuse to do so? Yes.

It wasn't me who made the speech about a civilian army the size of the current army. It also wasn't me that recently stated that the Feds need to 'retrain' the state and local police. It also wasn't me that has come out time and again to defend black victims, especially ones that turn out to have been previous lawbreakers, but when a black officer in MS gets assassinated, stays pretty much mum.

By that you mean not paying billions to the Texas state economy in no bid contracts? Or because he's doing nothing to prop up the price of oil for them?

In response to 11:48 and 11:52 (which are by different posters), I think that it is important to mention that the while some of the remarks I quoted might be construed as supporting the view that Jews are the chosen people, the quotes are also consistent with other extreme nationalisms. Israelis, Israel's supporters, and Israel's opponents are frequently guilty of blurring the distinction between Jews and Israelis. But, since many Jews are strong opponents of Israel's occupation policy, I think it is safe to assume that it is the nationalistic aspect (i.e. Israeli nationalism over Judaism) that is important. As such, being a "chosen people" (as opposed to "the" chosen people) is a normal aspect of extreme nationalism and is therefore better analyzed in nationalistic terms rather than religious.

The same point goes for 11:52 as well. It is true that many Israelis have adopted language reminiscent of that in anti-Semitic tracts. But, it is also true that many Israelis and Jews outside Israel are vigorous opponents of such ideas. We want to be careful not to have too broad of a brush when discussing this topic.
