Probably because it feels good to think someone besides your spouse would like to have sex with you. (Especially if your spouse, with whom you generally get along, isn't particularly keen on having sex with you.) Bringing it here isn't really a legitimate request for information or opinion - it's a way of drawing out that nice feeling of having someone desire you just by talking about it a little more.

Oh, grow up people. If this is a true story, then it is what it is. Not every woman wants to bang their boss and not every boss wants to band their employee.

It does lean towards a lonely woman that wants someone to talk to. Maybe you have been friendly to her in the past and now she feels like she can open up to you. Maybe she had too much to drink? Maybe she's just a fruitloop.

My suggestion is this, tell her that you two need to maintain a professional atmosphere at work and when away from work at celebratory gatherings, so she needs to refrain from sharing her personal life with you from now on. You have no choice, as her boss, BUT to report the first conversation and this follow-up conversation to HR.
