I think it's funny to parody a political figure for his/her views. Just not funny to me to mock a person's appearance.

I disagree with #1. It is still a choice. I don't think it helps survivors to think that suicide is inevitable and it could "happen" to them.


It's not a willful, conscious choice if you are not in your right mind. If your brain is telling you the lie that your childr n would be better off without you. If the crushing despair prevents you from seeing other options. If the impulsivity of acute mania prevents you from having a second thought before you pull the trigger.

That's not conscious commission of a crime of self-murder. It's being a victim of a mental illness.


And of course, no one who has ever committed a murder has been mentally ill have they?

You guys, TF want the only person doing this show. Martin Short, the director, producers, all the other across who were in the dr scenes, the costume designer, makeup artist, script writer... They all had something to do with it. And if this was a character portrayed in a short skit on SNL and the same guy killed himself then would everyone want the show to be cancelled and hate Lorne Michaels?

This is absurd. Would anyone watching this show have thought that the portrayal of this character would make the person it was based on kill himself? Do you think that SNL and other comedy shows should stop making fun of people lest those people kill themselves?

Maybe Tina Fey's new show is not that funny, I don't know, but the idea that she did anything wrong other than that is ridiculous.
