I would've been frightened too if I had seen a man in the womens locker room. Even a prominent member of the transgender community said "...any facility looking to support the transgender community must have the proper facility so that supporting LGBT rights does not impose upon those who may not have a full understanding of her community. Private showers and changing rooms would go a long way in resolving these issues....."
I agree wholeheartedly. The woman who was dropped from Planet Fitness has rights too.

I don't think she does. It's a private enterprise, being transgendered isn't a protected class, and businesses only have to make "reasonable" accommodations for protected classes, anyway.
FYI the transgender woman wasn't the one who had her membership terminated - it was the woman who was complaining and constantly gossiping to other members. Which, was the right thing.
Or, the complaining, gossiping woman could realize that being ignorant is not a protected class.
Or, the complaining woman should realize that free speech isn't a protected right anymore. Well, at least when you aren't being PC.

What is the point of having sex based locker rooms then?

This is the essential argument. Locker rooms are divided by sex, not gender. Which gets back to if youhave a penis, use the "m" locker room. If not, use the other one.
There was a better way to deal with this. Instead of complaining to other guests, the 'complaining' woman should have insisted she be provided facilities to protect her rights. LOL! And I reserve the right to call you Massa A-hole.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:That said, I stand corrected for an incorrect term. Just like African Americans don't like being called the 'N' word, you certainly have the right to define what you should be called. I agree with that. Transgender it is.
As a white male, I am exercising my right to define what I should be called, and henceforth it shall be "boss" or "massa'.

The Ted Bundy point was well-made. We cannot always tell an individual's good intentions. Even transgendered people can be creeps of the highest order.
