He knew no one going into Gonzaga, which really worried me. But we let him make the decision. By the freshmen retreat, it all came together for him. He absolutely loves Gonzaga and is anxiously waiting for his brother to follow in his footsteps. Gonzaga is a special place and the boys get it (even as the freshmen moms worry -- well, at least, I did!) The boys love the school and are proud of the school. Freshmen should take part in the three week summer program. I have found the parents to be genuinely kind, sincere, and very welcoming. One thing my son mentioned about G is that the classes are large enough (200) so everyone is not competing against each other -- there are so many things offered -- and so many different kinds of boys -- that every boy can find his niche.
