Being an airhead is one thing but you're borderlining on having a bad attitude.

I don't know of any 20 year olds that would be interested in babysitting and I don't know if I'd trust any to be a babysitter anyways.

I'm not sure if you're trying to say that this person acts even younger than her age.

But your attitude is really condescending.

OP, have you considered that your view of the world is skewed? It's like you're looking to dislike her. She's a grown up, you obviously don't need to babysit her.

There are some generational differences. Where sometimes I might get kicked under the table when mentioning something along the lines that something is due to the difference in generations. ie preference in styles and tastes. Of course there may be generational differences. The problem with OP's approach is her reluctance to associate with anyone different from her little clique. So what if the new girl has a different taste in music? Maybe OP can turn off the Go-Gos for a second and try a little Taylor Swift or Modest Mouse.

OP is glibly discussing the exclusion of one of her husband's friends because his new GF likes different tv shows and music. Its shallow and pathetic.


Modest Mouse is great, but they aren't a great example of youth.
