We are also still waiting for NCRC and Aidan. Aidan told us March 7.

I'm a current St. Columba's family. They just had us commit or not yesterday so they could get a head count for returns for next year. They likely mailed today. They don't do calls.

Seriously how do they select? We've been accepted at two but only felt one school really "took intetest" in our child during the date and that happens to be the one we haven't heard from. It seems a bit random.

It's just supply/demand, nothing personal. Very few spots for many families - it does all seem to work out by the summer though.

Anyone heard from NCRC? We're waiting to make a decision and have heard from others. Haven't gotten mail today.

There is a lot of waitlist movement, PP. Don't worry too much yet.

This is so depressing. I think we might get shut out FOR PRESCHOOL. We might need to move to Nebraska.

You're right. It is sad (and annoying, and over-the-top), but if I want my kid to go to ANY preschool next year within a 15 minute drive of my house I don't have a choice but to participate in the preschool rat race. If you have a better idea, please enlighten me Oh Condescending One.

So true.

We just got an admission to FMS via telephone this morning. Is FMS considered a one of the "competitive" preschools? How does it stack up against the others. Seems like the curriculum is very different and would attract a different type of family.

I saw that someone has been admitted to FMS (on the survey). Was that a sibling admit or non-priority?

meaning, do they traditionally tell non sibling families earlier?

Yes.
