you mean V60 or S60?

I really wanted to like the S60, but cannot get past the soft roundy styling.

The new v60 is pretty awesome. I've got an xc70 and love it. I still miss my Saab. I don't consider myself non-conformist, but I am happier in a wagon than an SUV. There seem to be fewer wagons than SUVs.

The VW GTI comes pretty close to the Saab 9-3 in terms of feel/handling/engine/power.

The Subarus and Ford Focus with photos on this website look exactly what I would expect to be designed by a 17 year old after a weekend of playing Grand Theft Auto. I don't mean that in a good way.

Hard to be unconventional in a car when there are thousands of them made. There are some trends I have noticed: The Volvo station wagon seems to have been replaced by the lexus or Mercedes SUV. The Saab seems to be replaced by the Audi or the ever popular BMW. The Jeep by the RR or the cheaper version Honda Pilot or GMC. the cheaper station wagon by the Honda or Toyota minivan. The Maserati is just so look at me -- it is an unusual car. It takes the place of the jaguar, which seems to me to be an older persons car. Wonderful to drive but looks like trying way too hard. the unconformist thing is the Escalade SUV in that you see it less. Or the ridiculous Hummer. my opinion, I am other have theirs...
then there is the Mini, the Prius, and all the "cheaper" cars ...

Pp here. Honda accord. It's not remotely comparable but I just didn't see the same value in BMW, etc, so I just went with cheap and reliable.

Subaru Outback owner here. True, Subaru's have always had sub-par exterior and interior (they've never quite mastered visual design element), however, mechanically, they are very good cars. If you can get past the looks, you'd be driving a very good car. But to OP's question, the Subaru's aren't a non-conformist cars.....unless you get the WRX as shown here, you won't see many of these around....
