I know 4 HLS grad and the answer to how often do they work it in the conversation is: never. It is on their resumes, however.

The jealousy on this thread is amazing! The HLS grads I know are far too busy to be writing on this board, or to care what the general public PPs think.

Our LF recently went through a hiring process. We interviewed a candidate with a "double Ivy degree" (undergrad and law school). Candidate was a "dud". We went with an non Ivy candidate. Says it all.


All this says is there are some duddy people in Ivy League schools. Um, of course there are.

When I went to Boalt (aka Berkeley's law school) in the early 80s, there was a kid who wore an HLS shirt with "REJECT" stenciled across it. I don't think he was kidding...

I went to HLS and was corrected by a professor when I said "harvard law school" not "the Harvard Law School".

Do you wish you went to YLS?

I know a kid who got into HLS, YLS, and SLS - picked HLS and after his first semester thinks he has made the absolute biggest mistake of his life.

Never. As a PP said, most of my social circle probably doesn't know (or care). And to another PP, I paid my full tuition to HLS (and undergrad, but at least with the latter I had scholarships and other offsets).
