He showed me the whole exchange. This guy also likes to talk about the other guys in the group (not in kind ways). Your Dh sounds like a standup, awesome guy. I would definitely tell my friend, especially since you have his permission. And please update us as to what happens.

Chances are, this guy is not just vulgar in this area of his life - he's probably like this with her too. So if she knows him at all, she's probably used to him being vulgar.

It may just be part of some persona, too. I have a guy friend who is very tell-it-like-it-is and no-nonsense in a "go f*ck yourself" kind of way. that's his persona. But once I knew him a little, I saw how kind he was to his female friends when they were down, and how much he loves and cares for the woman who became his wife. (he would never call her a whore, though, but he would absolutely use the term to describe others.)
