Her columns are sometimes so convoluted and wordy that I have to read twice to figure out what advice she is dishing out.

Bring Back Dear Abby and Ann Landers--they were practical and not crazy. A lot of moms on this site would not remember them but I thought they were great.

This was in yesterday's Wash Post but could easily fit into the relationship portion of this site:

My boyfriend of 2 1/2 years recently said our relationship is slowing due to my inability to challenge him. He thinks my job, one that will allow me to move cross-country for him soon, does not offer opportunities for my professional growth, and therefore our growth.

My life primarily revolves around family and small social circles at work and church. When I visit him, we do his things and hang out with his friends. I know our dynamic will change once I move there, but it has been stressful long-distance. I want to challenge him and grow. What do you suggest?

No back story? Are you kidding? It's been hashed and rehashed. They did a joint chat with that as the sole subject. They did a radio show together recently and the subject came up (again). It's all over the internet. As a PP said, you need to get out more.
