I should have noted I'm not the first quoted PP, just another woman with one black dress. I've work it to one dinner party and two funerals. I don't care what anyone thinks about my attire for burying my father.

No. No one likes me. I really have no social life.
For some of those events I wouldn't wear black--like a wedding.

If one dress is always worn, then the people who see you regularly will think you own one dress. I guess they would be correct. Soon, they will place bets on what you will be wearing at the next event.
You presume that everyone goes to "events" on a regular basis with the same people and always wearing a black dress.

1 formal, 1 conservative, 1 sexier, 1 casual.
I wear scrubs for work so no need for work style dresses and I prefer colors over black when not wearing scrubs. I probably have close to 50 dresses
