I'm my experience, family oriented guys don't have careers, they have jobs. When I left my law firm for a federal government,mother managing partner has me how I thought the move fit into my career plan, but I made the move because it fit into my family plan. My father had a career, I want to have a family.

It is hard to have a career and keep family a high priority. After 2 years clerking, 6 years as an associate and 5 years as a partner, I realispzed that I could not be the father And husband I wanted to be and have a "career".

You don't become the VP of a sales organization that is closing over a billion in annual revenue by being "beta".

He works and coaches our boys in every sport they have ever played. I was terrified of my babies and had horrible PPD when we brought them home. He took charge and did EVERYTHING, including taking an extended leave so I did not lose my mind.

Be it in the office at home or in the bed, he knows how to take charge. It makes him so sexy. Like I said, I won the jackpot when it comes to husbands and it all started when we were in college.

I met mine in college and this is completely true. My DH loves and respects me. He wants me to be happy and does things for the family out of a place of love. We has never been selfish or superficial. When it comes to husbands, I've won the jackpot.

The guys I dated who seemed to value family also wanted a traditional family with defined spousal roles. The guys I dated who didn't care about traditional roles broken down by sex, also didn't seem to want a family any time soon.

I didn't want either, and it took some serious searching to find a guy who puts family first but who also considers me an individual with individual needs and talents that may not necessarily align with traditional gender roles.

Just my experience. I hope others found it easier.

It does include making sure my children are confident, morally upright young men and women and I go to great pains to ensure they are provided with many cha character building experiences.

I actullly agree that many of the qualities in a good "family man" are liabilities when it comes to male sex appeal.

My DH is an amazing family man and his ability to listen and respond to the needs of others make him BY FAR the best lover I have ever had. We have great sex several times a week despite having three small kids. I could tell you how good but this isn't the explicit forum.
