My sister and I had to make a rule with my mom - What's on Facebook, stays on Facebook. Any time either of us would post, she would call us within 10 minutes to discuss said post with us. Then she'd call the other of us to see if we had seen our sister's post, and did we care to discuss it. Mind you, my sister and I do not post real thought-provoking pieces of writing - this is just typical asinine Facebook posts. Nothing that required a separate follow-up conversation!

She also likes to call us to see if we'd seen her Facebook posts yet. Sigh....I just *like* anything she puts up immediately to avoid the "Did you see my post?" phone call.

(And I'm not avoiding talking to my mom - I just don't want to talk to her about Facebook!)

FML = Fuck My Life

My Mom IS on FB all day - she has the app on her iPad. She always comments right after me when I respond to a friend or family member, even my IL's! She never misses a post of mine - always a comment. Oh well.

I think disposable cell phones are a thing. Like cricket?

Had to look up FML. I was guessing right. But the First hit:
FML
means Fix My Lighthouse. Back in the 17th Century, lighthouse keepers were tthe butt of everyone's jokes. When a lighthouse keeper was made fun of, his retort would be "why dont you fix my lighthouse!" which was shortened over time to FML. This term was made famous in the great battle of the Sole Bay in 1902 where 14 peolpe died and 1 person broke their glasses.

My FIL always likes his own posts. He has finally stopped signing them. FIL also likes personal photos and comments from my friends' timelines and he has never met them. As if they would know who the hell he is.
