Actually Richard Montgomery was under capacity last year. Enrollment 2,166, capacity 2,236.

Quince Orchard - sorry

To be honest, I would send my child to Quibce Orchard before considering Richard Montgomery. The diversity is perfect but they have good test scores, great sports and arts and high school spirit. It was named above RM this year. Cost of living is less too. Wootton is a great school with good neighborhoods. The cost to live there is high.

Way to stir the pot, OP. There are literally dozens of posts about the schools already and there are always strong opinions. Those in the RM cluster will likely tout their school just as those in the Wootton cluster will likely tout theirs. If you really care, find people you know to speak to about the schools and not some anonymous posters.

I know people who went to both schools. As we determine where we will be moving and raising our kids in the coming years, I'd like to know what these schools are like NOW, and I don't know people who would be able to talk about both of them as they are today. Of course I am not relying on DCUM to make the decision for me. I had assumed the schools were similar and was surprised to hear such a clear preference for Wootton, so I'd figured I'd ask.
