So if your flat-chested 12-year-old in middle school wants a bra because every other girl (most of whom are not flat-chested) in school is wearing one, you're going to say no? On principle?

At this point, if DD wants one before her body needs one, then that's fine and I'd be happy to get her some.
(I know that I got my first bras in mid sixth grade, and pretty much all us girls were wearing them by the spring of that year.)
