One of my bridesmaids would be the same and probably a very different guest list.

DH and I were married in 95 in the midst of wedding hoopla and the burgeoning wedding industry.

Let's see...my bridesmaids were my sister and my childhood friends. Still friends with all, but some relationships have changed.

If I had to do it over, I'd keep the same DH and just have my sister as my matron of honor.

+1 to all of this, except we were married in 2001. Seven attendants seemed necessary at the time (BFF from HS, BFFs from college, BFF from grad school, sister, SIL, Cousin) and DH was in total agreement (he would've picked even more guys, if he could've) but in retrospect, it was too big. If I could do it all over again, I would just have my sister in the bridal party and have both my parents (not just dad) walk me down the aisle. Finally, I would've included my MIL in on more of my planning.

Mine wouldn't be that different and it's been more than 20 years. I had my HS BFF, college BFF and 2 other college friends. I still see the first 2 all the time, the third periodically, and the 4th not so much. But I was in the weddings of the latter two so it made sense at the time. I also had 2 other friends who had roles - those two I am still quite close to.

The only thing I would change is the SIL's (plural) and MIL's rotten attitudes about a wonderful day.

One thing that would be different would be the guest list. I had a bunch of my parents' friends at our wedding, and a bunch of my work friends and DH's work friends. Parents' friends would be irrelevant at this point, and DH and I left those jobs long ago and lost touch with most of those work friends.

I had three bridesmaids, BFF from middle school, BFF from high school, BFF from college, and my sister.

My sister passed away recently, and the other three ladies I talk to a couple of times a year and correspond with on Facebook.

So yeah, 26 years later the whole group would be different.

I chose only my sisters to be in my bridal party, b/c I knew we'd always be sisters!

I do have two friends who were in each other's weddings, and now they don't even talk and are not friends anymore -- have not been friends for years. Oy. What a mess.
