My understanding is that she doesn't handle the money, so it's not a huge issue. She handles the children, house and pets. He handles the houses, cars and money.

I will deal. I know it will end some day. Marriage and kids are not the be-all, end-all for me. I could see enjoying being married but do not aspire to have kids.
