Georgetown. I really don't understand the appeal. Too much traffic. Too many students. Parking is awful. No metro access. Crime is pretty high for such an expenisve place. There are some beautiful houses, but I would not want to live there.

This thread has been a good "come-to-jeebus" eye-opener for me. There are many bitter and childish people on this site, and the entire thread itself is a giant conceit to trolling.

I don't live in Georgetown; I wasn't happy with what I could afford there for 1.5m. But like many of the places listed on this thread, it is probably a wonderful place to live.

This appears to be a collection of people bemoaning areas they cannot afford. Plain-and-simple. Georgetown. Spring Valley. Cleveland Park. Mclean. Etc.

I hope the commenters and OP feel better about their meaningless existences upon having posted. (I don't feel any better about mine, but I wish you a better fate.)

I never walked down M or Wisconsin. The neighborhood streets and parks are glorious. We were up near Rose Park.

People that haven't lived there think solely if Harbor and people from McLean on the strip.

I would say my area of McLean is overrated, but it would be greatly improved with a few changes. The Chesterbrook Soviet Safeway stinks, plus all the empty store fronts on the other side of its parking lot is depressing. No sidewalks on Old Dominion and spotty on Old Chesterbrook (come on its narrow and so close to HS- you could eliminate 2 buses buy sidewalking the rest of it). Can't wait for the sidewalk/trail to go in on Kirby. Plus we need a few more restaurants downtown - not fancy ones- just a few more good ones- I'd take Chicken Out back too.
