Anyone who is justifying why this is ok is an asshole. Just because I can talk in the movies, doesn't mean I should. Common courtesy is so dead around here.
On my block, there are six houses. Ours is the only one with a driveway. Everyone parks directly in front of their house. 4 of the 6 houses have 1 car. We are one of the 2 car families.
My across the street neighbor parks her car directly opposite my driveway. The space she parks in is not directly in front of her house. She actually has to walk farther by parking in this way. My driveway is steeply sloped, as is our street. Every time it ices or snows, I fear that my car will slide down the driveway and crash into her car. On icy days, I've had to ask her to move her car because I don't want to hit her and she gets pissed.
Why are some people such assholes?

I have this very same issue. I live in the burbs and every car on my street has a two car garage. My neighbor across from me has 3 vehicles, one of which is a HUGE truck. So instead of parking the truck in front of their house, they park directly across from my driveway. The streets are not that wide so I basically have to struggle to get in and out of my own driveway.
It is RUDE but I have not said anything because I don't want an issue. Although it is not a law, there is a such thing as courtesy. And all you people on here complaining about us complaining are probably the very same assholes that are guilty of doing silly shit like this.
So basically your complaint is they are parking across the street IN FRONT OF THEIR OWN HOUSE?
seriously, you all need to move to the sticks.
Wait, maybe geometry fails me. They live across street from you. They park in front of your driveway. How is this not their side of the street??
Anonymous wrote:It is their side of the street, dumb arse. That is not the argument. The argument is why does everything have to be a D.C.pssssing contest instead of being a normal, considerate, adult human being. Isn't that what differentiates us from animals? Not pretending to be an oblivious cad?

This comment and others like it is so PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE!. Just be an adult and speak politely to your neighbor about this. They may be completely oblivious that this is a problem or bother to you.
