I wear sandals or flip flops. Not safe to drive in so I take them off and drive barefoot. It’s comfortable and no big deal.

Ha! Who is calling me trashy? I drive with my left foot in the corner of my dash and door or resting out near the side mirror. In the van, in the little window on the dash. I like the breeze going through my toes and it is just so comfy. On long trips as a passenger, I put both feet up on the dash. I am country, I admit but not trash. Now reading about the accidents in the link above, that is scary. I guess I will have to stop because when you know better you do better.

I drive barefoot regularly, but I would never put my feet up on the dash. That’s a recipe for paraplegia.

That’s sort of crazy - you should not do this. Way more dangerous than driving barefoot.

It’s fine to drive barefoot. It’s unsafe to drive without shoes but with socks on.

It’s safer to drive barefoot than with flipflops, for example.
