Take this for what it is worth, but a radio/TV gossip site called DCRTV has a mailbag section, and this was posted in it:
Julie Wright burned three bridges when she signed that fat contract with Channel 8. Total Traffic, WNEW and Fox 5. She left with no notice and they all had to scramble to cover the shifts she walked out on. For her sake, I hope it was a long term deal, because if 8 doesn't renew, she's done in DC and maybe done period. You don't piss off companies like Clear Channel, CBS and Fox and think they'll just hire you back. Plus the word is out that she's a selfish employee and a nightmare to work with. (5/20/15)

+1 I think that about all the newscasters in this area. I watch NBC and hate it too (although not their hair, more their professionalism).

a year of so ago she shed some weight which made her wardrobe look a little bit better. then one day we tuned in and my husband was like wtf happened. she used to tweet about running and exercising but i guess she stopped.

Confirmed: Julie Wright To 7 - 4/2 - DCRTV tipped you weeks ago and now we get confirmation that DC area traffic diva Julie Wright will be joining Channel 7/WJLA. She posted the news today on her Facebook page that she'll be doing traffic during "Good Morning Washington." We told you back in March that Wright had left her gig with Total Traffic Network, where she was seen doing morning traffic on Channel 5/WTTG and heard on a variety of area radio stations, including WPGC and WNEW.....
