When did the schools kow about the "in pool" designations? What date? Thx!
No ma'am, I'm not sharing that info. The board will blow up.

Why is a principal on this board?
I love having principals and teachers on these boards. They're the reason I come, because they have the real info.
I completely agree...but curious why she is here.

Sorry, I'm a wimp...I'm leaving out the school name. But it's not one of the ones listed above, nor is it in any of those geographic areas.
Please tell us the school's name - your are making us all curious. No one would know who you are, would he/she?

Logically, they have to know sooner than now, so the AARTs can pull out the "in pool" kids in order to get work samples and info for the GBRS.

Anonymous wrote:18:11- how on earth can you possibly predict that? You can't know from a single score on a test how they will perform on a subject
In a class.

FxAT came home in Friday folder:
Verbal: 131
Quantitative: 121
Nonverbal: 129
Composite: 131
Maxed NNAT and so should be in the pool. But haven't received the letter yet.
Wondering if we should submit additional materials since FxAT results are not ideal. Child feels really bored at school.
Thanks! Did the form state what percentages those scores were?
Seems like a sure thing to me with the high NNAT score.
Yes. There are two percentage columns: age percentage (national) and local percentage (born in August, and so age percentage much higher).
Verbal: 131, 97%, 96%
Quantitative: 121, 91%, 78%
Nonverbal: 129, 97%, 91%
Composite: 131, 97%, 92%
Thanks to those who suggested additional materials. We'll at least do the questionnaire. Elder sibling went to AAP and really liked it.
Not wowed by the quantitative scores -- it is likely your DC will be behind other AAP kids in math.
