Hello there! Yeah, I don't believe it is too much different. My own father was 12 years older than my mother. I seem to relate better to women that are at least 28 to 30 and upwards. I suppose it's not so much as a particular number, per se, but a stage of maturity. When I was at the university some years back, there was various age women classmates, most of whom were 18 to 22. Some were 23 to 30, and a few were 30 to 50. The youngest women were certainly attractive and hot, but *damn*--talking to them, working with them, they were just so immature and just...in an entirely different place in life. Girls still dependent on their parents, barely having a minimum wage job, being pretty clueless about so much of life, simply because they just haven't *lived* long enough to know much about anything, really. I think having maturity, some common ground, compatibility, and being confident and knowing yourself as a person are very important, especially to build a relationship with someone.

Hello. This is Centurion, not the person making the slut argument. Maybe I'm weird, but I've always thought being a "slut" was as much about attitude, as much or more so than "numbers" and somewhat dependent on circumstance, context, and place in life. Is a 16 year old girl in high school who's banged 15 guys a slut? I'd say so. Or a woman screwing around behind her husband or boyfriend's back a slut?--I would *certainly* say so.

An adult woman that's 25, 30, or older, and she's had sex with more than 1 or even a few men, she's a slut? I don't think so. Are such adult, *single* women supposed to embrace celibacy? I don't think that's fair or realistic. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, my first wife was a virgin. Several of my friends all married virgins too. In my limited experience (fortunately as an observer), they can be bossy and jealous.

I had a co-worker whose wife would call at work -- he would tell a government person (we were contractors), "Oh can you hold for a second?" so he could answer his wife's routine call. If he didn't pick up or just texted back -- she'd call again. And again. Several times during her pregnancy she made him come straight home -- the worst case was when the dog (that she insisted on getting at 6 months along) pooped on the floor -- she called him and demanded he drive 30 minutes to the house and clean it up.

Another co-worker had a wife that'd call all the time too although she at least accepted a non-answer or text back.

One of my sister's friends had a mom like that. The dad divorced her as soon as the kids were out of the house and my parents' and sister's comment was "I don't blame him."

Huh! Lol. I see. Well, fortunately she's not like that! She's respectful of me. She wants me to call her and let her know I'm thinking about her, and she expects me to make her a priority. She knows I have to go to work, take care of business, see my buddies, and such, so she's cool with it. She likes me home with her, considering her, calling or talking to her if I'm late or need to do something else, or have other plans. She can be possessive, but I keep her in check.

Greetings! No, friend, you're not being snarky. My girlfriend is an American citizen, having been born and raised here. Her parents are immigrants though. So, she doesn't need a green card and such. Lol. You're right though, if such were the case that's definitely a consideration!

On being "a step up"--interesting. As proud as she is being Mexican--she explained to me that she has a strong preference for *caucasian* men. She's made remarks about really enjoying some of the attitudes I have that are in sharp contrast to conventional attitudes of Mexican men. She's expressed to me that she it is precisely some of my "white" attitudes and beliefs that draws her to me in such a strong way. She also likes my eyes, my different skin, and features. She loves that I'm educated, intelligent, and articulate.

I think her family's wonderful, and I certainly enjoy them and respect them. Perhaps she views me something of a "step up" socially, educationally, or intellectually, to an extent. The men in her family are no dummies for sure--but I'm a veteran of the Marine Corps, Irish/German, with degrees in Ancient & Medieval History and political science, focused on international relations. So, I'm definitely different from the men of her family, though they are all hard working, good men.
