Interesting. We lived near Lincoln Park for about 5 years and moved because we couldn't handle the crime anymore. Life is so much more peaceful when you're not constantly looking over your shoulder.

This has to be one of the dumbest comments I read today. Don't worry the driveways will hit your neighbor's house and spare you and your family because it's just a rival gang issue. Don't forget to fly the right color so you won't be a target.

Recent Trindad purchaser (back in 2010) and surprisingly feel safer in Trinidad than capital hill actually. There seems to be much more movement of people in and out of capital hill on a daily basis whereas Trinidad is more of an enclosed neighborhood and you end up seeing the same people day in and day out.
