A lot, though the last fewonrhs he has slacked off considerably. Work has been extremely busy for him.
In the summer he pulls out the smoker and the grill in the weekends and cooks enough to last AT LEAST through mid-week.

Me too, I'd love to know the SES behind it.

I wonder with all the "never" posters, does the husband do other things to balance out the fact that he doesn't cook?

He cooks most nights and I clean up. But I do all the shopping as well so I don't feel at all bad about it.

Never. Ever. Well, he has thrown a frozen pizza into the oven or boiled pasta when he is watching our son when I'm out. But he has never, ever cooked for me. Married 5 years...been together close to 9 years.

For adults, never. He can make Mac n cheese for the kids. I cook 3-4x/week, we eat leftovers or not at all the rest of the time (except for the kids), and he does other chores like trash and yard work.

Not very often. I do cooking 98% of the time, I SAH. When I worked we would split the cooking and he was really good at it. Now while he's still ok, sometimes he gets carried away with stuff and the food isn't very appealing. The worst is when the kids say it's not good.

Once a week when I have a work commitment he cooks dinner. He cooks oatmeal and bacon or sausage for himself and DD every morning and grills in the summer. Pretty much doesn't cook otherwise, although he can. I like to cook, find it relaxing and I am home earlier than he is. His eating has had to change a lot for his health, so all the stuff he used to cook and eat in his 30s he no longer can. So all the mostly-vegetarian things I like to cook are more in line with what meets our dietary needs now. I will take an hour in the kitchen by myself at the end of the day while he plays dress-up with DD, though, it's not a burden.

If he's stuck with the kids by himself, he'll make mac & cheese. About once or twice a quarter, he'll do the steaks on the grill if I ask. That's it. He isn't interested and would just drink a protein shake or eat cheese and pretzels if I didn't cook for him. Or order pizza.

Never. Ever. This is because he commutes and gets home after dinner needs to be made. I work from home part-time so I am able to make dinner. The kids are usually starving and can't wait until later to eat. Plus I do all the grocery shopping so I know what we have to eat.
He helps in tons of other ways. he works harder than me actually.
