I wish I would lose some in my boobs! I’ve gone from 189 at 5’5 to 162 and from a size 16 to a size 12, yet I am still in a 38H. It makes me look so much heavier. At my thinnest in college days I was 125 and a 34DD wearing a size 10.

Same here except the other direction

If you've already lost the weight why not take measurements and see what you size is that way? If a large bust is an issue you can buy a size larger dress to fit the bust and have the rest tailored to fit.

+1. Head out to the store and have some fun!

I’m 5’3 losing postpartum weight. At 185 I was a size 12/14, now at 170 I am a size 10 (8 in some things). I am on a mission (!) to get to my pre-first baby weight of 135, and expect to be a 6 at that height….maybe a 4.

I am 5'7" and lost 45 pounds during Covid. I went from a 14 to a 6.

I'm 5'3". Over the course of a year i went from 175 to 115. I tracked pretty closely with the 10 lbs/one dress size rule...I went from a 12 in most brands to now a 2 in most brands. Bra size decreased too...I was a 36C, and now I just wear XS or S bralettes.

At 160, 5’6, I was in a dress size 8 (sometimes 10 depending on brand)
Now at 123, I wear a 2.

My band size in bras didn’t change drastically because I am bottom heavy and my rib cage didn’t change much - from 36 on the looser hook to 34 on the tightest hook.

it's 10 bls/ dress size.
You will go down 4 dress sizes.

Interesting. I think it depends on your body/curves.

I’m 165 and just under 5’9”. My size 12 dresses are too tight even with spanx. I need to drop 5-10 pounds in order for my size 12 to fit well.

I’m 45, and it’s tough to lose weight at my age (and after multiple c-sections that made my belly fluffy).

I would need to be under 150 for size 10 to fit. Even when I was 140, size 8 was too small.

Pre-kids, I was 128 and a size 4 or 6.

This is wild. I was 165 5’8 but wearing size 6/8. I guess it’s just how you carry weight. Interesting to hear the weights and sizes. I have always been between 4-6 in dresses when I’m around 140-150 but over 160 I’m more solid 6, sometimes 8. Pear shaped but small on top so a line dresses I can get away with smaller size but fitted through hips can be 8.

Is there a thread with how you are all losing weight? Thanks.

5’8”

In my 30s: Went from 150 to 130, and from comfortable size 8 to a 6 in pants. Medium to mostly small tops.

I’m 50 now: I’m at 155, and size 8 is snug. Weight distribution is still mostly in my lower half, but I’m softer than I ever have been.

It isn’t all about lbs. Also where one carries their weight, how soft or firm they are, how muscular, etc.

This depends entirely on your height, and how you carried your weight. I'm 5'3" This is how my weight/size changed as I lost weight.

When I was 185, I was a size 14.
When I was 150, I was a size 10.
140 = size 8
130 = size 6
125 = size 4

I'm tall, big and was 200 pounds OP, when I lost 40 at 5'10" I only went down 2 sizes. So I would look at pounds and inches and not sizes, depending on your shape.
