This is so sad! The only day you spend with your family is the day you loathe... hmmm you're doing life wrong.

It's known as the "Sunday Blues".

My dad said he still had them for about 6 months after he retired. Now he doesn't get them.

Mine have lessened since I now WAH and don't need to commute.

My friend quit her job became a SAHM and no longer has them.

Just keep it mind it's an artificial construct due to our arbitrary calendar. The Earth and rest of the universe doesn't 'know' it's Sunday, it's just another spin on it's axis while orbiting the closest star.
So relax, there's not even such a thing as Sunday!

I love sundays. And before you say that I like them because I have a little kid, we did similar stuff before baby. We do bagel brunch, often have people over for brunch. Then relax or walk or yard work. Often we have dinner with parents or inlaws. We do similar stuff wth baby in tow now. Dinner is ok the earlier side so everyone can wind down and get ready for the week. I anticipate doing similar things for the first able future. Just because it's Sunday doesn't mean you can't do stuff or activities (planned or unplanned).

OP, I felt the same way you do. I got a part time job on Sunday so that I could be away from my husband and children. The weekdays are bearable because I leave before anyone gets up and usually only my husband is up when I get home from work. A part time job solved my problem.

I love Sundays... watch CBS Sunday morning and then Meet the Press, read the Times and Post (old school paper copies) , drink coffee, have eggs with a croissant and jam, do a little housework, maybe see a matinee or go for walk. Sunday night I get a little anxious for the workweek, but who doesn't?

I dont like Sundays OP because I have this thing about things feeling or being too quiet. My kids all play sports so are gone most of the day and its just a day where i feel very disconnection from the world....don't call my friends because its "family day" dont' go shopping or do anything I normally do during the week so its often a day I am searching for things to fill my time. My least favorite day.

how closed minded and bigoted. Wishing you more tolerance and acceptance.

Lots of judging going on here. Wow. I love my family but do not like Sundays especially in fall and winter. They are boring, too much "down time" for my taste. My kids are older so thy do their own things often and planned family activities only work for families with young kids.

So for those doling out advice like that it applies really if your kids are under 13. I like the hustle and bustle of Sat. and all weekdays,everyone seems to have a purpose/agenda/schedule. I like it that way and therefore agree do not like Sundays very much unless we have something fun going on. I need add I am pretty type A and don't do well with a surplus of downtime.
