I find it hilarious that Republicans oppose a market-based solution to a problem. One they're ideological brethren developed, I might add.
Simply because the guy who got it done is a black man. Crazy.
So people who oppose it are racist, according to you. Thanks for the great post. Please post more comments like this.
We need this kind of insight. Those of us on the right need to get more information from you. Help us understand the world better. Help us understand President Obama. Help us to understand healthcare policy. Help us to become better members of society.
Not the PP and I do want to speak for her and I am not saying people who oppose it are racist...but I am still trying to grasp GOP opposition when a lot of the MAJOR concepts in the plan are GOP ideas. Sure, there are DEM ideas in there too, but surely the GOP realizes that this is THEIR earlier plan. That's why I have always been confused. Why is the opposition so strong - is it the name?
NP here and I wonder same thing - the ACA was modeled very deliberately after ideas developed by Republicans. Now those very same concepts are targeted by the GOP as "socialist" and "anti jobs". And it's not just opposition to these concepts, but the vitriol and misinformation about the nature of the plan and what it will offer.
All I can conclude is that this is about Obama, not about the plan itself or the millions of people who might benefit. Didn't McConnell say early on in the process that he wanted health care reform to be Obama's "Waterloo"? Seems like the GOP sees defeat if the plan as a proxy for defeating Obama, regardless of the value of the ACA.
Would love to hear why I'm wrong on this.
