I’ll reiterate the point about college prospect days. Especially if the college only offers 1-2 of these days per year, and it’s just the one college host rather than a group of coaches from other schools. I also found the harder it is to get to, the more serious the school about recruiting from the kids who show up. Colorado College is a good example.

Kinda agree with the PP, its going to be rough figuring out how the coaches will recruit for the next 1-2 cycles working their way out of COVID and the additional year granted by the NCAA. So not sure anyone's past experience will really inform in this window.

When did you start this process?

Covid changes everything. Its now about reach outs from your club coach and if you attend a well known private school like Zaga or Prep or Landon reach outs from those HCs. if you can get enough tape together that will help but enough is seriously these days 1-2 minutes to catch the eye.

They can’t hurt, providing that you can handle the expense of traveling up there after you complete your Junior year. Attending prospect day shows you’re interested in school, and many coaches may be able to give you their perspective on your chances ( as long as your grades and test scores are “within range” ).... Many schools including private tours of the campus on prospect day... Some schools prospect days sell out months in advance (Williams College).

Beware of schools that have “prospect days” every month ( i’m looking at you, Villanova). Monthly prospect is can mean lower turn out and less chance of being noticed.

How important are prospect days for D3 recruiting?
